The data is read from the ATx Foil & Roster Manager (https://atxroster.uptimeinstitute.com), where all of the foil/roster data is stored in a database. This data can be accessed via an API that returns a JSON version of the roster data. For example, this page uses the following URL to get the ASA roster data:

A Joomla module named mod_ui_roster grabs this data over the internet, and processes it to create the HTML you see rendered below.
